February 22, 1732. He moved with his family to Ferry Farm at the age
of seven years old. At Ferry Farm, he rode horses and
plowed fields. He learned to read and write at an early age.
George grew up and joined the military and he fought in the French and
Indian War. He later became a general in Continental Army.
