The great state of Idaho became the 43rd state on July 3, 1890.  It's area is 83,557 square miles with 3,100 miles of river (more than any other state).  Its lowest elevation is 738 ft above sea level and its highest elevation is Mt. Borah at 12,662 ft above sea level.  The state capital is Boise.  Idaho is located on the Rocky Mountain range.
