The continent of Africa is large.  It has more than 50 different countries.  Many languages are spoken in Africa.  People live in different ways.  The continent of Africa has the longest river in the world called the Nile River.  The Nile River flows north to the Mediterranean Sea.  The Congo River can also be found in Africa.  Northeast of Africa lies the Red Sea.  To the west of Africa lies the Atlantic Ocean.  The east coast of Africa borders the Indian Ocean.  The continent of Africa also has the largest desert in the world called the Sahara Desert.  There are many different kinds of animals on the continent of Africa.  Southeast of Africa is the island of Madagascar.
