The Earth has many types of water.  Water is very important to life on Earth.  The largest water form is an ocean.  Some of the  Earth's oceans are the Atlantic, the Pacific, and the Indian.  The oceans have salt water.  The Earth has a lot of rivers.  The Mississippi River, the Nile River, and the Amazon River are just a few of the fresh water rivers in the world.  The Earth has many lakes.  The United States has the Great Lakes.  The Great Lakes are fresh water.  Lake Michigan and Lake Erie are two of the Great Lakes.  Of course there are many smaller lakes such as Devil's Lake and the Great Salt Lake.  Are all lakes fresh water?
