When you write a letter with a pencil or
pen to a friend far away, you send it to them through the post office.
The people that deliver the mail are called the mail carrier, postman, or
postwoman. The mail carrier will take the letter from your home to
the post office. At the post office, the letter will be put on a
truck and delivered to your friend's town. Another mail carrier will
then take the letter to your friend's home. All letters must have
the correct name, home address, town, and zip code on the letter. If
the address is not right, your letter may come back to you.
