6-30 Spelling Tip

Words ending in -eous
An adjective is a  word that describes a  noun.
Adjectives that end in -eous describe nouns.
Courageous and outrageous are adjectives ending in -eous.

 

Words Definitions
1. outrageous extremely annoying, insulting, or shameful
2. courageous brave
3. beauteous beautiful
4. righteous acting rightly
5. gorgeous having an impressive beauty
6. spontaneous done, said, or produced freely and naturally
7. instantaneous done without delay
8. bounteous giving freely or generously
9. calcareous of or like limestone, calcium, or lime
10. crustaceous having, resembling or constituting a hard crust or shell
