6-27 Spelling Tip

Double consonants
Double consonants
are found in the middle of many words.
Embarrass, occur, and different are words with double consonants.

 

Words Definitions
1. tattle to tell secrets; blab
2. embarrass to cause to feel confused or distressed
3. tomorrow the day after today
4. fiddle violin
5. different not of the same kind
6. harass to tire out by continual efforts
7. parallel lying or moving in the same direction but always the same distance apart (train tracks)
8. especially particularly
9. accept to receive or take willingly
10. surround to enclose on all sides
