6-10 Spelling Tip

The suffix -less
When the suffix -less is added to a word, the word takes on a new meaning.  
The suffix -less means without.
Clueless means without a clue.  Hairless means without hair.

 

Words Definitions
1. clueless without a trace or sign
2. stainless without a discolored spot
3. hairless without the slender threadlike growth from the skin of an animal
4. brainless unintelligent, silly
5. skinless having no outer or surface layer
6. hopeless having no expectation of good or success
7. luckless having no success or good fortune
8. tasteless lacking flavor
9. tireless seeming to never get weary
10. gutless without courage
