Planting a Tree
Today is a special day.
We will plant a tree.
It is an oak tree.
It has many green leaves on it.
The roots are very long.
First we dig a very big hole.
Then we put the tree into the hole.
We give it lots and lots of water.
The tree will grow very slowly.
The trunk will get bigger and bigger.
The branches will get bigger and bigger too.
It will get many more leaves.
We will watch the tree grow for many years.
Some day it will have acorns on it.
The acorns are seeds.
Someone can plant an acorn.
The acorn will grow into a new oak tree!
