The Chinese Mirror

Possible Answers

1.  Do you like the book The Chinese Mirror?  Why?
Possible Answer:  I liked this book very much.  I think it is funny how everybody who looks in the mirror doesn't know they are seeing themselves.

2.  Do you think this story could really happen?  Why?
Possible Answer:  Yes, I think this story could have happened.  This is probably how the people of China really did find out about mirrors.  How would they know what one was if they never saw a mirror before.

3.  Which character did you like the best in this book? Why?
Possible Answer:  I liked the little son the best.  He would be like me.  I would have thought the same thing he did.

4.  Write a different ending to this story?
Possible Answer:  The little son looked in the mirror again.  This time he looked very carefully.  He saw that he was looking at himself.  He called other people over to look in the mirror.   They looked carefully too.  They saw themselves too!  Someone said, "What is this round shiny thing?"  The little boy said, "Let's call it a mirror."
