1.  Did you like the book At The Crossroads?  Why?
Possible Answer:  Yes, I liked the book.  It was good.  The boys and girls were not like me.  They lived in a different place.  They lived in different kinds of houses than I do.

 

2.  Where do the boys and girls in this book live?
Possible Answer:  The boys and girls lived in little houses that looked like forts.  They looked like they were made of pieces of wood and other stuff.

 

3.  Is this a happy or a sad story?
Possible Answer:  This is a happy story.  The kids were very happy when their dads came home from working in the mines.

 

4.  Are the boys and girls in this story like you?
Possible Answer:  They are not like me.  They have different color skin than I do.  They do not live in the city like I do.  I think they live in a different country.
