32 is a multiple of 8 because 8 x 4 = 32.  A multiple of a number is the product of that number and any whole number.  45 is a multiple of 9 because 9 x 5 = 45.

Some multiples of 8 are  8, 16, 24, 32, 40, 48, 56, 64, 72, 80 ...

Some multiples of 10 are 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 ...
