Find the sum of the counting numbers from 1 to 15 inclusive.  In other words, if S = 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10 + 11 + 12 +13 + 14 + 15, what is the value of S?

In a store, gum has one price and candy has another price.  Two pieces of gum and one piece of candy cost 25¢.  But one piece of candy and one piece of gum cost 15¢.   How much does one piece of gum cost?

One piece of gum cost cents.

 

The three digit number A25 is divided by 5.  The answer is 25.  What number does the letter A represent?
