# 3-62 Making Change with Money

### Lesson List

Learn to make change.  Allison buys a candy bar for \$0.50 at the store.  She gives the clerk one dollar.  The clerk gives Allison \$0.50 change.   The clerk makes change by counting forward from \$0.50 to \$1.00.  She would give Allison one quarter and another quarter saying \$0.75 and \$1.00 as she counted back the change to Allison.

Jill bought a toy for \$0.59 at the store.  She gave the clerk one dollar.  The clerk counted back Jill's change.  One penny is \$0.60, one dime is \$0.70, one nickel is \$0.75 and one quarter is \$1.00.  Jill's change equaled \$0.41 in all.
