Division and fractions are related. When you divide something
into equal parts the result is a fraction.
A fraction can be written like this or like this 1/2. The top or
number is the numerator and the bottom number is the denominator.
When you divide something into three equal parts, each part is or 1/3.
If you want to find 1/3 of 27, you would divide 27 into 3 equal
parts. To divide 27 into 3 equal parts, you divide by 3.
