2-48 Horizontal/Vertical Addition

Horizontal addition may be changed to vertical addition by writing the problem over again vertically.

 

For example; 16 + 25 may be written as,   
16
+  25

 

Rewrite the following addition equations and solve.  Place the first number in the equation at the top of the vertical problem.

 

17 + 32 = __
