A sentence fragment is a piece of a sentence. It is a group
of words that do not form a complete sentence. A sentence fragment lacks an independent subject + verb combination.
Identifying sentence fragments and knowing how to correct them
will help you eliminate them in your writing.
Here are some examples of sentence fragments.
Making good grades in school been taking over our thoughts recently.
Right now, we thinking of recess.
After a long hard day of work at school.
In the early dawn of the morning.
Looking at the calendar.
Speaking of old Miss Hatchet.
Because they were lost in the woods.
Since we were lost in the museum.
