Arteries, veins, and capillaries are blood vessels for
the blood. These stretchy, hollow tubes carry blood in one

Capillaries are tiny blood vessels that connect veins
and arteries. Capillaries are very small. You cannot see them
like you can see some of the veins in your arm. Capillaries
distribute the blood to the cells. Veins and arteries are the indoor
plumbing of your body, but the tiny capillaries are the places where the
blood does its work of feeding the cells and doing away with the wastes.
